When they are not on active duty elsewhere 41 Commando, Royal Marines are based at Bickleigh Barracks. It seems that the men are really as keen in their reasons for being a marine, but after arduous active service abroad now view this posting as a chance for hi-jinks and exploitation. The officers try hard to bring order to the sometimes bored and cynical troops, only to be set up by them in a series of pranks, jaunts and misdemeanours. The marines play among themselves too and the story follows these men of every calibre as they trudge through the daily life of being a marine. Life on the ocean wave was never dull when aboard a ship, and this gives the troops a chance of combating boredom and chaos, very much a danger to all around.
